Five archaeological sites and their <strong>Theatres<\/strong> are the main stops, the starting points from where everyone can collect and compose <strong>experiences<\/strong> that interest and inspire them.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Theatres<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Theatres are the main <strong>protagonists<\/strong> of the cultural route for a reason. In antiquity, theatre was much more than what we understand by the word today. Alongside the agora, it was the <strong>trademark<\/strong> of the city-state, of its public life. It was the space where citizens gathered to watch dramatic performances, spectacles connected to religion, intended not only to entertain, but also to <strong>teach<\/strong>. The theatre was one of the nuclei of life in the ancient city.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The App<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It is an on-site digital tour <strong>augmented reality<\/strong> mobile application suitable for iOS &amp; Android devices, which you can download for <strong>free<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The application supports both <strong>predefined routes<\/strong>, guiding the visitor to follow them, and <strong>autonomous exploration <\/strong>in the archaeological site.<\/p>\n<p>You may choose one of the four <strong>digital <\/strong><strong>avatars<\/strong> (Archaeologist &#8211; Ancient Man &#8211; Ancient Woman &#8211; Robot) who will welcome and <strong>accompany <\/strong>you, <strong>audibly<\/strong> presenting the appropriate content at each stop. Each character provides a presentation with a different style and degree of detail, giving the visitors the ability to choose what suits them best.<\/p>\n<p>At some stops of the tour, you will be able to display on your device&#8217;s screen <strong>3D representations<\/strong> of selected buildings in <strong>life-<\/strong><strong>size<\/strong>, as they were in ancient times, digitally placed in their actual location. These 3D reconstructions are presented on the screen as an additional visual layer above the actual image captured by your device&#8217;s camera.
